I was just looking back at my old post on this blog... Wow! So much has happened since I first started this blog almost 2 years ago! Just looking back at even last summer it's crazy how much my life has changed!
It makes me realize that life is short and never to take anything for granted. It could all change in the wink of an eye. That's why I believe, we need to live life to the fullest. For today and, not to worry about tomorrow because tomorrow will worry about it's self. I've learned so much over the last year, to trust God with all my heart even when things don't go the way I want them too. In the end it's him we have to answer to. Not our peers, friends, coworkers, or, the media. His is the ONLY opinion that counts.
That is SOO much easier said than done... It really is. It's still a work in progress for me. I still want the approval of those around me. It's easy to let them be your god and, not the ONE TRUE GOD!
This summer I was unbelievably blessed to go to South Africa for three weeks. God moved in mighty ways in my life and in the lives of those beautiful people of Africa.
It was hard work but rewarding to know that most of the people wanted to hear the truth about God's amazing grace! Where my team and I worked was one of the poorest places in the world. They live hard lives and many of them had never heard the truth about Jesus. Many of them who had heard about God had heard the wrong things.
I am forever changed by what God did in my life over this summer he has taught me so much even in being home. That I need to spend more time with him and less with facebook, TV, movies and other distractions. Thank you for all you prayers for me and please keep the people of the world in your prayers. Especially the Muslims as today is the first day of Ramadan (which is a time were they fast and pray.) Please pray that many of them would question what they're doing and seek the one true God!
Also please keep our country in your prayers! As you may have heard they have reached a debt agreement which really doesn't solve anything and puts us in a bad place. I love America SOO very much and, don't like to see things like this happening to it. What I don't like to see even more is, people giving up on it! God has truly blessed us with this country were we have SOO much and, have freedom to worship God!
So long and God bless,
Meg :)
